After grading out some fill at a new hay barn here on the farm, I had just shut off my neighbors bulldozer when Ricochet, our 9 year old Belgian Malinois, decided on her own to join me on the operators seat and be a lap puppy! She frequently joins me in the backhoe cab but this was her first time on the dozer.

Surprised the heck out of me when she bounded up and jumped onto my lap!

She's been raised around equipment and knows to keep away when the engine is running.

That might be a little too big a lap dog. I'll trade you 2 mini daschunds that will fit much better in that cab.

Thats funny, dad has border collie that loves to ride one of the smaller tractors standing/sitting behind the seat. If it cranks shes coming on it just be prepared to let her on. When she was younger he thought she stayed at the house and didnt know she was around to look back and found her riding on the bush hog while mowing, after that little scare he decided it was better to let her ride on the tractor with him. The other one is a diffrent story, he is to hyper to ride he is made to walk or run on purpose.

I used to ride on my grandfather's tractor. But he had no dog. That was probably because anyone or anything thay didn't adhere to his rules got a beat down or death. He was a mean old dude. But he died when I was 5 so my memory is probably twisted. I probably would have really like him as I aged. But I still remember the tractor rides. Can't blame the dog.

That dog was not that big the last time I was there. It's competing with the mustang pony now.

She’s been a great companion. At 9 she’s just starting to slow down a bit but still very active and interested in everything that’s going on.

Dang it. Last week I asked Derrick how Duke was doing and forgot to ask you how my "used to be little" sweetheart Bella is doing. Instead, I asked you about your Jeep.
