I’ve shared about my wife’s health issues in the past. Over 1 million in cost, not exaggerating. My end of the debt is 14,000ish.

Hoping to get that bill to 0 in the next couple of months. Been struggling a lot lately, after my forced job change, it was around a 20k cut in pay, been getting OT again, and getting back on track. But damn that debt hurt.

Almost there! You can do it.

Understood. Micah (my grandson) has cut my savings for retirement in half. I am back in the workforce for precisely that reason.

Back when the bills was coming in, they didn’t put the right codes on a bill, I got sent a bill for 28,000, got that one fixed.

It’s a trap for me to stay with my job due to insurance. My out of pocket expenses keep going up every year. 1 of her medications is 16,000 a unit, that is every 6 weeks.

1st surgery total was around 450,000, 2nd was around the same, then the medication costs.

I sincerely hope your wife is getting better Mad. We'll keep y'all in our thoughts and prayers.

Insurance has made people slaves to bad jobs.

It’s not so much a bad job, but rather, it eats away my life. I pulled a 12 hour shift today, and I get home, I’m completely wiped out.

I loved my outside job and working with my hands. 12 more years, and I can retire at 50 with full benefits and pension. That’s really my goal right now, then at 50, I will figure out my own way.
