As Indian Larry used to say, "There ain't nothing lighter than a hole." Then, this'un should be pretty daggone light.

There's probably going to be enough flex in that lower to cause unintended booms with a 3-gun style trigger.

He's actually got a CMC drop in trigger that he's going to use.

The finished product.

He shot it this week and we shot it a lot today. It works like it's supposed to. No issues, at all.

I have no problems with an A2 grip.

considering an ar lower already weighs about as much as a squirrels pecker, how much weight does that shave off? 2/10's of an ounce? :)

I'm sure not a lot of weight was saved. Especially with the heavy barrel nut and flash suppressor. It still weighs 4.5 pounds as you see it.

4.5lb is pretty danged lite. My recent build with a polymer lower was just over 6lb, which tickled me.

Yeah, but this is a pistol.

Looks like there's plenty left to be skeletonized.

Kel Tec SU16 comes in at 4.5lbs. And it isn't fishnets ;)

Whats with the grip adapter thingy? Needed a longer reach to trigger? That thing looks huge.

Cool build, though. That looks like some ballsy skeltonizing of the lower.

That's got to be one of the heaviest muzzle devices out there... Seems silly on a lightweight build.

Looks like a fun project, though not very practical and I'd be concerned about it holding up. Not my cup o' tea, but to each his own.

Looks neat...

I think it looks pretty killer. I'd be afraid of it blowing up from sheer ultra coolery.

I'd cerokote it green.
