Didn't know if anyone wanted to respond to this misinformed person at our local newspaper. Idiot.

It's been that way for a very long time, though. Look at the seizure laws that started (I think) under Bush Sr. We threw out the concept of requiring the government to prove guilt decades ago, we're just expanding the concept now.
