Looking for a Scope - Precision and Hunting on a budget

Looking for a scope for my AR308. Its a plinker, hunting, and somewhat precision shooting. Was thinking of a 2.5-10, but a 3-15 would be great as well.

FFP, no preference on MIL or MOA, and wanting to stay under $500. I was really thinking about the SWFA 3-15, but dont know if there is a better option out there.

As of now I dont see shooting past 500 yards, but definitely within that.

FWIW, if you know or anticipate most of your TT is going to be Short to Medium Range (100 ~ 400 ?) and you have NOT actually run / used a "First Focal Plane" scope at those distances ( especially 2 to 10 power) you may want to hook up with s shooter that has a FFP scope and try theirs first.
One reason being , at Low to Moderate Power you may not like the way the reticle is and can be Very Annoying.
Most pick up a "FFP" for LRS because of the ranging feature~s of a said reticle being easier to use.

Overall , with a 1st or 2nd focal plane scope , just learn to range with it or use a Laser Ranger.
Your mileage ( as others ) will vary.
