I have a nice set of temperature displace that uses 4 heat probes with 2 head units. Range is a clear 500 feet. The feature that I would like to have since we do the cooking over night and nobody is watching the pellet smoker is a alarm to go off if the temperature gets over a preset. Say we are cooking at 225 and if the temp reaches 450, I would like a wake up alarm before something really goes wrong.

Anybody know of a company that might make this?

Second the thermoworks. The brand was recommended to me by the folks here and I love the Smoke model High and low temperatures are easy to set for pit and meat temps. It replaced a $40 remote thermometer setup I had from Amazon.

The only problem with thermoworks is that after you buy something they’ll send you an email every day for month, often with a big discount for the item you just bought.

True. It happens. When it has happened to me I have called and if it was within a reasonable time they gave me the difference. I have been using them for years.
