Looking forward to a feel good holiday movie... Violent Night

wait, wut? violence is OK but children shouldn't be exposed to harsh language?
Basically yeah. My daughter is 14 and my wife, well my wife, doesn't like the f word. My daughter watched Big on her own and with 12 minutes to go heard the F word and turned it off. Just how she's been raised.

Wait...Big has an F-bomb??? I don't recall this.

EDIT:
Welp...shiver my timbers. It does, according to Common Sense Media:

I really liked the horror anthology A Christmas Horror Story. It felt a lot more 80s than a lot of the other low budget anthologies... and it had William Shatner!
Aside from that, I still need to find a copy of the Bruce Campbell ... oh crap, it's free on PLEX... BLACK FRIDAY. I've been waiting a year to see this!

Watched it tonight.

Worth a watch. A couple of laughs. It’s certainly not a “watch every season” kind of movie, but a good way to pass a couple hours.

DO NOT let the kids watch.
Did you go to a theater or is out streaming/dvd?

If she doesn’t like the F word just start dropping the C word around the house. That should fix that. 😜

Watched tonight. It was ok, but think it could have been better, especially the fight scenes which needed some expertise.

Worth the time but like above won’t be an every holiday watch it thing.

Storyline seemed to have pulled ideas from a lot of other Christmas movies like die hard 2, home alone and a couple others.

Watched last night. I enjoyed it a lot. They did more plot than I expected, and it played homage to other cult (violent) Christmas movies.

It looks entertaining, the trailer had me laughing.
It could be... but Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie. After all the discussion here, I tried to watch it last year.

but Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie.

@RetiredUSNChief has been raving about this movie for a couple of weeks. I'll watch it one day.

I've seen it three times so far. Once myself, before heading home for Christmas, twice more with the family since.

One of the few movies I've enjoyed enough to see it more than once, especially in the theaters. It was fun watching my girl's reactions!

Think a campy mash-up of Home Alone and Die Hard (several references in the movie to the Die Hard movies). It's pretty bad, but campy and silly enough to watch over a glass or two of something for some mindless entertainment.

The trailer was awesome; the movie was awful.

It's too bad the person who made the trailer didn't also make the movie.

I watched it on a flight.
It's was good enough to pass time.

It's always shocking to see Santa doing violence!

i watched it again the other night, accidentally took a nap through the middle. which is fine because it mostly heats up towards the end.

I enjoyed it. It is no worse than the other Christmas movies and has violence.

Not bad.... not great... but not bad. I liked how he was a Viking and covered in tattoos.

Silent Night is the one for this year. I'll go start a thread on it.
