I found a Men's Marine Corps ring in Pittsboro, NC.

If you, or the rightful owner, can describe it, I'll happily return it.

Let's get this thing returned to the owner.

I'd be happy to hear suggestions on other ways to find the owner... There are no inscriptions or names on the ring...

It may be that the best you can do would be to find a former Marine (maybe here) who legitimately lost theirs and it will fit them. That would be an awesome gesture. I know if I was a Marine and had lost mine I'd be thrilled to get it back, even if it's not the exact same one.

Have you considered asking the police if one has been stolen recently. Not likely that it just dropped off a finger, seems more likely stolen and determined that it couldn’t be pawned so dumped.
