Low-carb/high-fat diets and diabetes

Yep, I did it. I am no longer considered Type 2. Lost 65 lbs. "Keto" diet is basically what they are describing although I didn't see reference to it. I skimmed the article and didn't read it word for word.

I've been told Keto is a little hard on your kidneys if your at risk. I was told that by a nephrologist so milage may vary.
Keto is much lower carb than the typical LCHF. You are correct that long term, KETO can be rough on the kidneys. LCHF has just enough carbs to prevent this. Also, LCHF focuses on low GI carbs, eliminating, as much as possible, processed carbs.
