I’m guessing this falls into this category technically.

Anyway, stopped by gun shop yesterday to pick up a Glock 44 and came across this gem. After talking with some friends they advised me it would be a good idea to pick this up. I’ve been wanting a p320 so I guess this will suffice lol.

I’m curious if anyone else has picked one up or has plans to? Anyway, here’s some photos of mine.

I've been waiting for this post. Nice gun, cool mag! I've picked up a few and think these are really cool. If you find one near you, buy it. Not going to get a chance to own an actual USGI issue sidearm for a while. There is a pretty serious Facebook (I know, I know) group that you need to be invited to. They have over 1k of these logged. Somewhere between 3k and 4k were released.

Yea that is what my friends told me. Go back and get it lol.

I would love an invite to that group if you’re in it.

Yours is one of the better conditioned ones I have seen. Some looked pretty rough. How does it shoot?

Yea it’s overall in great condition and definitely one of the best I’ve seen. My FFL is actually gonna swing by the house sometime time this am and we’re gonna put some rounds through it.

According to some in the know they were actually able to trace some pedigree as follows.

    Last assigned to:
    C Troop (Dismounted),
    1st Squadron
    75th Cavalry Regiment
    101st Airborne

I am not a big fan of the P320 but the history and USGI part is cool.

I could have sworn not as of yesterday, I believe. I could be wrong - I was there for another reason, and didn't pay really close attention. If so, ... [WARNING: language]

I saw a FB post from Fuquay Gun where he had a few. He didn't say how much, but I looked at them at gunbroker and they started at over $1000. So I decided I didn't want it that bad. Now I find they could be had for $729 and I am heartbroken.

It all depends on just how much the shop wants to make off of it. My $729 was out the door with tax. I’ve seen ships list these for double what the dealer cost is. I mean I’m all for making money but sheesh.

There are supposedly 3 versions. Deployment guns, T&E guns and training. The deployment guns looked the worst but fetch a higher price, due to actual combat use.

My shop had gotten 2 of each version. They sold fast, for between 750 and 850, depending on version & condition.

    Ouch. $750+?
I'd been keeping my eyes open and asking around, but I'll stop. I'd like to have one, but not for those prices.

That’s considered a good price from what I’ve seen them go for. $700ish is about retail on a great day.

I got three. Bought one on GunBroker for stupid high money to make sure I got one, then ran into two at a local shop for a lot less. These are going to be worth a pile more down the road, so even $1200+ will look like a deal in a short while. I had been dragging my feet getting a commercial M17 as a substitute for the real thing . I’m glad I dragged them, now.

I haven’t decided whether to keep all three or not. The GunBroker one is in really nice condition. The other two are more worn. I’ll post pics later.

OP, I really like yours. Nice snag!

I stumbled upon mine at the last gun show in Raleigh. It was early right after the doors opened and I saw the box sitting behind the dealer. He had not had the chance to put it on display. I asked if it was a surplus M17 and if so how much? His response was yes it is and it’s $699. Without even seeing it, without thinking twice, I told him I’d take it! It’s in pretty decent shape but internally is dirty as hell.

I’m part of the Facebook group tracking these guns. Mine is a Ft. Campbell gun and was assigned to:

0502 IN BN 01 CO A RIFLE CO

2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team ("Strike")
    A Company
    1st Battalion “First Strike”
    502nd Infantry Regiment
    101st Airborne Division

I would like to find another one, so if there are any going up for sale let me know!

Good find and price! Dude must have been honest or not known exactly what he had. Especially at this point.

yeah I think it may have been a little of both. It was back in mid-January so the hype was just starting to build. A week later and it would’ve probably been no less than $1k.
