Made a knife/hatchet combo

I like the look of the twine, how well does it hold up and does the fiberglass resin make it difficult to grip?

On the tomahawkthe transition from the top of the main blade to the back of the rear blade looks unbalanced. That rear blade looks like you were going for something else and cut too much off the bottom so couldn’t cut as much as you wanted off the top.

I like he curved handle on the knife a lot.

Nice work overall.

The head is actually 90% or so how I wanted it. Do you think the top should be flat from blade to the rear spike? Flat/straight spikes tend to not penetrate as well as curved, but maybe I could work in a compromise....
The fiberglass feels good and secure, so long as you don't slop so much in there that it looses the texture of the wrap.
edit:
So far, the other handles I have done have held up great, but there is more to it than wrapping it and pouring resin on it... I have to wrap a layer of twine, fiberglass it, another layer, fiberglass it, etc... If it's thin or just on the surface, it tends to crack from impact (I've tried, there isn't an easier way that I know of).

Thanks for the feedback.

I really like the knife. Good heavy looking drop point blade with plenty of belly. I like the curved handle, too. Should make a good all around hunting/survival blade.

Maybe flat from the main blade edge through the handle as you have it, and then a gentle curve down. Start to form the bottom of the spike lower on the handle and then also make it an arc rather than flat, ends up with a claw kinda profile sharpened in and out, a talon.

Just an idea.
