That’s because the relatives descend upon us and invade our homes.
 
Not to disagree with any of the above (many fine points), there's also the element of offense-taking that exists out there in the world, and also manifests itself here. We've lost the ability to have an argument without kneejerking to the conclusion that the if other guy disagrees with me, then he's a butthole

I don't mind hurting someone's feelings. It isn't a goal, but I don't mind if/when it happens, and if that makes me an butthole, so be it.

I think we should all be a little tougher, and capable of duking it out, & then sharing a cold one afterward.

Indeed. This is the heart of snowflakery: the inability to roll with the punch or let things run off one's back like water off a duck.

Life is neither fair, nor easy...you'd think 4.5 billion years of objective evolutionary history attesting to this would sink in a wee bit.

Being able to sit in your parents basement and snipe at your betters without fear of reprisal flies in the face of evolution.

And a God who created everything under the Heavens, who is defined as the ultimate in Truth (among other things), wouldn't create a universe full of lies and inconsistencies.

See, this is my stand: the universe is what it is...and if it was created, full of all kinds of natural laws and whatnot by which it functions, then those natural laws are observable in their workings. And they are consistent in their workings.

If God is who we believe He is, then those natural laws follow from His essence and are representative of His devine good. They don't lie.

That's my belief. Others, of course, are entitled to their own.

battle rifle shoots a 'full power' rifle cartridge semi or fully auto(I proffer at least 2500fps and at least 2200ft/lb of energy) such as 7.62 nato, 7.62x54R, .30-06, etc

an assault rifle (true assault rifle) is select fire, shoots an intermediate cartridge and is generally lighter and have lighter ammo

That reminds me, don't you think open carry guys are just in it for the attention? And is there anything uglier than a Glock? Is the .223 an acceptable platform for hunting deer? When I sell a handgun in a private sale in NC, do I need to keep the PPP? Which had better scenery, Petticoat Junction or Dukes of Hazzard?
