Plenty for ukraine too, so glad we have our priorities straight
Not to hijack the thread, but I see an opportunity to crush the Russian Army and end Russian aggression for our children’s generation, and do it for 5% of the defense budget without risking a single American life? Sounds like a very good deal to me.

The shortage is definitely real. I have not seen a set of cammies for sale in the MCX in over a year. It’s a good thing I still had several sets from previous tours with the USMC or I’d be wearing some kind of alternate uniform.

Combat shirts are more comfy anyway. Go old school in woodland or DCUs.

I’d be happy just being allowed to wear deserts. 29
Palms personnel wear deserts, with sleeves down year round. It’s hotter here in Yuma.

You know...this whole issue could be avoided if the services would simply quit with all the frickin' uniform changes.

I don't know about the other services, but the Navy has a long history of tossing out uniform changes every few years. At one point it seemed like it was every other year or so.

Stop. Just....stop.

If there's a legitimate need based upon projected deployment requirements, sure. Or if there's a deficiency in the existing uniforms to the point were, for example, they're poor quality and not holding up well, then yeah.

My old soldier opinion...this is utterly ridiculous.

They were not rolling out a new style or pattern...this is the same uniform they have been wearing since 2002 and the type/number of initial entry sets and replacement sets for the force is a math problem already solved. The new "supply chain" issue excuse is already getting old...someone, a person, screwed up and failed to ensure adequate uniforms were continuously procured in a timely manner to keep the CORPS outfitted.

Next the Marines will be wearing the old green jungle fatigues.
I was in one of the last units issued this stuff. '93. We started getting woodland utilities around 94-95. Seabees seemed to get hand-me-down gear from the Marines back in the day.

Also says same with "khaki shirts, service coats, dress blue coats, and running suits." I agree with you. What the hell?

LOL, that's funny. A lot of Marine Corps stuff is hand-me-downs from the army, when I was in that included a lot of weapons.
