Holy crap.

Have those things really gone through the roof?

I believe the first forum firearm purchase I ever made (before here), was a Marlin 883ss. Absolutley beautiful rifle! I actually remember the member's name and where we met. I still have his number in my phone. Ah, the memories.

I think I may have given $150, maybe $200 for that rifle, but sold it five or six years ago, for just a little more.

Long story short, I saw one at the Columbia gun show and the dealer was asking $875! Wow!

I may have one or two to list, if that's really the case.

Remember the Romanian .22 trainers? Last time I was at the Hickory show I saw two priced at $450 and $600.

Saw one of the trainers at the Raleigh show for $300. I got several for $49.

I'm not sure why but it seems like 22 magnum has really gained popularity in the last several years. I know I've never gotten hurt buying a Marlin 22 Mag.

The first firearm I ever sold on the forums was a 883ss. I'd replaced the plastic stock with a nice laminate hardwood.

Got to missing it some time later, so found a 783 at a gun show that I still have today. I think pretty much anything marked Marlin has gone up in value lately.
