@hlpressley thats awesome that you found your secret sauce! Everyone ticks a bit differently and you'll be golden once you dial in your mental game.

You really should think about Tilley's class and if you get anything put together with Drummond I would be down.

I think it depends more about who you are with Bill. I think you need to be one of the "cool kids" to get in with him.

I sent Tilley an email about a class this morning. I'm also organizing something with Steve Anderson.

Pleased with this match...mainly because the hard work I've put in this past month in physical therapy gave me some of my feeling back in my right arm while shooting. The pain is still there, but I can deal with it a lot better. In some of the stages my arm more or less loses feeling halfway through and I cannot really feel the trigger. The steel really told on me in this match. But it is a farcry better than last month.

Did you switch to Guga Ribas holster James? If so, how do you like it?
Nice shooting, but we totally expect that now, haha.

edit: also, can you compare to your older rig?

Just a question. I've never shot USPSA, only IDPA. It looks like each stage consumes about a half-box of ammo (IDPA about 12-15 rounds). Do you guys shoot a lot of reloads? I shoot about 50-50, new to reload.

Everything I shoot is a reload.

One could go broke shooting factory ammo in uspsa.

Most USPSA stages range from 12-32 rds, depending on the range and stage designer. You'll see a lot of reloaded ammo at USPSA matches.

I did switch to GR. I really really like it. I won't accept a sponsorship for someone who's products I don't 100%love. Once it is setup, the retention and release both are much better than my safariland. I also like the adjustability of both the pouches and holster.

Thank you sir. Been looking at them for a while. Haven't gone the robot holster route yet (been using kydex). But I like that it can be fitted to a gun, rather than buying an insert.
The CZ I have has a funny trigger guard, and the results of the Alpha holsters has been hit or miss.

My main competition G34 has north of 30,000 rounds...not one single round from the factory.

There'd be no way I could afford to shoot with factory ammo prices and that I go through double the ammo of the others.

Video from today's IDPA match at H2O Fowl Farms. Finished 1st SSP, and 2nd overall.
Honestly really surprised by my finish, with 10pts down and a procedural, and a couple mental malfunctions I'm surprised that scored what I did.

I will say, that IDPA is definitely a different game with the 1sec per down scoring change.

Stage 1 at Sir Walter.

The one handed shot on steel was not in the stage plan. Still managed to finish within .5% of high production. I told myself I would shoot all A/B/C today and with an exception of three shots (all on one stage) today, I did that. And it felt great.

Awesome finish!!

Nice, one day I hope to look like that.

Video of today's match at H2O. Had a great time shooting with @Starkherz199!

Finished 4th overall. I've done better, but with the way I blew my first stage (stage 2, which I unfortunately didn't get on video) I'll take it! Decent after that, but just couldn't catch up with the other guys out there. They really brought it today! Great stages, and just a real good time.
