Tweets ranged from, "What fresh hell is this," "this is going to change everything" and "I’m having a meltdown," to "We in the very last days," "I’m mortified" and "this is now personal."

And just to up the heart rate, it's Hellmann's they love there.

Mayo shortage.
In SOUTH AFRICA.

This is obviously a satire piece:
It is easy to think this is a just a dressing to put on top of salad or fries, but it is clear this American product is far more than that to many South Africans.

S. Africa, huh? 29.99 Rand for a container of Mayo which amounts to $1.75 USD.

Reminds me of a guy I used to talk to on the ham radio. He said that he lived in a part of northern Russia for several years and you would think that mayo is the national food, because they had entire grocery store isles dedicated to it with numerous brands.

In a six month follow up appointment this week I asked my cardiologist if he was behind the egg and mayo shortage as I am now forever cut off from them. He just smiled and said something about protecting me from myself. I stopped for a Bojangles egg biscuit on my way home in protest. Man, was it good.

is there a shortage in Africa too?
I assumed it is global. I know it is a problem in UK and Czech. But that is why I’m asking.

..Hetherns.. JFG first. Or Duke's if ya gotta.. 😎

what really makes it great is when I take home a big bowl of leftovers and add a little Miracle Whip.
Can we get a clean up crew here?

I didn’t think we allowed this kind of talk on this forum.

folks, this might be a "thing" here, too, soon enough.
there is an egg-connection to a lot of grocery store stuff.

I'm having a hard time believing there are this many shortages of this many things. I'm starting to believe that companies are starting rumors of a shortage, then delaying shipments to create the illusion of bare shelves which in turn cause people to buy extra when it shows back up on the shelves. Would be a fast and easy way to boost short term sales.

I had to make a run to wallyworld yesterday, while I was there the kid texted me to pick up some cat food because she's out - that's how she rolls, she doesn't notice that she's low and proactively tell someone, she only notices when she's out.

I asked what kind, she sent me a pic, I texted back this pic with NOPE. Ain't no way half a dozen pet food manufacturers can't get product to a store.
