stop making is so mentally hard. Following the first response and be done with it. This is actually a simple process.

If ya got time to take pics you had plenty of time to remove the ball joint

brother I promise you Ive been beating the heck out of these things and have the pickle fork and it's just not coming
Got a 4lb (I think) sledge from father today and been hitting it with that

Hitting where the arrows point, some good solid whacks, not soft danty taps, that joint will pop. Set pickle fork with same solid hits to create pressure while smacking the side if need be.

I have never met a ball joint that will not separate with this method in more than say 15 to 20 secs tops in the last 30 years

Shouldn't u have it still bolted in place and remove the castle nut? Then use the pickle fork/opossum peter and a BFHammer.

i see better now, as long as its stationary, knock the hell out of it with the fork to wedge it out of the arm.

Quit screwing around and put a straight axle under that thing and make it a gasser.

Yes, I am, and allowing it to wedge up. All it's done it tear a boot up

Going to rent the pitman arm puller today

Remount the strut. Take the ball joint loose first. By hitting the control arm where the joint goes through. If the brake rotor is in the way....remove it too.

There is no shock going through the flopping ball joint.
