Micro Ronni conversion

Have one. They are legit. I went with braced pistol version. I use it for my Glock 17. As an FYI the newest models work for both 17 AND 19 through change of 1 screw. I have a sightmark Eotech style sight in mine.

Also of note, for training purposes, I recently confirmed that the Advantage Arms 22lr conversion WILL cycle/function with the Roni (at least using CCI mini mag ammo).

I had one for a short while. It's a fun kit but just not for me. It's reasonably reliable but it would occasionally eat a spent case.

it will:
allow your pistol to handle like a PCC
provide mounting points for optics and such
give you a cool range toy to share with your friends
Increase your accuracy on fast follow up shots

it won't:
Make your pistol more precise than it already is. IOW don't expect your slow fire groups to shrink at all. In fact mine grew.

I sold it to a friend who is a self-proclaimed terrible shot with a pistol and he loves it so much he'd probably write an opposite review from this one. I think it's an effective crutch if you don't already have decent pistol skills, and a fun toy if you do.

To add to catfish As far as use-case function, I have not put enough rounds down range with it yet for this set up to replace my home defense or vehicle gun. However it is a strong candidate for either of these scenarios given the obvious benefits once I trust it.

I have about 2-300 rounds through it, and will consider it fully “vetted” for real world use once I hit ~1k rounds. Also need to put a few hundred more 22lr through it as that is my primary training caliber and so it will need to be equally reliable there too.

even if I had minor precision degradation (which I haven’t experienced in particular) I would accept that trade off knowing full well under any defensive scenario that the PDW would remain much tighter at much greater distances than shaking hands with pistol.

I will eventually test this through running or push ups prior to fire and confirm but it’s basically self evident through every other PDW or rifle that has ever existed vs handgun.

Range toy, Yeah they kind of look cool. But if you want A PCC there are better options. JMHO.

The above is as if I had written it for our exact findings here. Several involved here. All findings as above.

Here's a review I did of the Gen1.
Ultimately, it does do some good things, as others have said. The main seller really is if you already have a Glock, you aren't spending $500 on a dedicated PCC, just $250ish on a fancy add on for said Glock. I liked the one I had, it was fun, light recoil, brought out some accuracy potential you wouldn't otherwise know was there if you're a crap shot with a pistol like I am. Didn't like it enough to keep it though.

Does anybody have one? I am interested but just don't know if they function properly? Any words of wisdom from my fellow learned companions?

I have an CAA Gear Micro Roni Stabilizer MCK, Generation 2 CAA Gear Micro Roni Stabilizer and a IMI Kidon Pistol Conversion.

They allow a pistol to handle like a carbine.

Pistol shooters who cannot hit a gong at 25yards, can with this. I let my friend use it, and he hit it 3/3.

The gun cycles fine.

Using a suppressor in one is a challenge, but I have modded mine to function.

It does get dirty with heavy use, and removing the carbon staining is challenging.

I have put over 1200 rounds through my Generation 3 Glock 19 in my CAA Gear Micro Roni Stabilizer.

A IMI Kidon Pistol Conversion is more versatile since it can accommodate over 100 different pistols.
