California accepts this and more as long as peoples feelings don’t get hurt. Their next generation will be do desensitized to reported crimes it will get much worse. We are not even close to rock bottom. Think about that.
 
This was in the news a couple weeks before Christmas. A reporter caught the LA County sheriff, showed him a video, and asked what was being done. It seemed like he was unaware of the issue.

From the police’s perspective, what’s the point? CA essentially legalized theft under $900, so as long as they don’t get caught with more than that, it’s a ticket that won’t go anywhere. The DA won’t prosecute for fear of being viewed as racist and even if they do, these crimes are unlikely to result in any meaningful punishment.

Same for NY City, homeless man attacked several folks who tried to help him over a period of time, catch and released on zero bail reforms.
Finally a Judge held him on $25K based on charges from two other states despite his legal aid lawyer demanding no cash bail per DA policy.
