Monkey Junction homeowner shoots man during break-in

Wow, I haven't been to Wilmington for a long time but I seem to remember that was a decent area.

I'm old and feeble these days with little mobility but we have three 4 legged alarms.

That's also why I live in the country!
 
I volunteered with the local rescue squad back in the early eighties, and that was part of our response area. That area and the other side of the beach road (Silva Terra) has not aged well. Back then, Echo Farms was a new subdivision/golf course so it's been a long time. Predictably, the area has degraded over time. Wilmington has changed, a lot.

Dispatch: “What’s the address of the emergency?”
911 Caller: “I just shot somebody in my house. I just shot him about four or five times.”
Dispatch:”About how old is he?”
911 Caller:”I don’t know. How old are you? 30? 30.”
Dispatch: “Is there serious bleeding?”
911 Caller:”No you can’t have water! What?”
Dispatch:”Is he completely alert? “Yeah.”


Jarvis remains in critical condition. Police said the homeowner will not be charged.
