Yes! One of the most underrated rimfire bolt guns in my opinion. Use to be in the $250 range which made little sense considering how well mine shoots. It is heavy with that heavy long barrel and beefy wood stock but it is pretty well balanced. Just be careful that the bore and crown are in good shape. Also the aperture sight system is also something to watch … make sure you have all the parts (rear peep aperture button and front sight hood) because replacement parts are kinda hard to find and are not cheap. Also extra mags can be found for $30-35 if you look but when you need one they are $50 or so.
As to range time. 25 yard (or meter) paper punching is pretty easy with practice. Like most other rimfires mine is finicky when it come to ammo it only likes standard velocity stuff. It spits MiniMags like a shotgun compared to CCI Standard Velocity … and feed it Wolf Target Match and it really acts nice.

Excellent rifles. I think I have 6. Got 5 of them from the CMP years ago, I believe for $75 each and one rusty one for $65. Found the other one at a gun shop.
