Moved to Wake Forest

Welcome! I was born and raised in Wake Forest and live 15 minutes from there now. Just north in Youngsville. Parents and grand parents still live there. Love what used to be a little more rural around 98/Bud Morris/Purnell area. Prices have gone crazy from what my Grandpa paid in the 70’s.

Lots of good shops around. Carolina Gun Runners off Durant and Falls. Patriot Shooting Sports in Youngsville off US-1. For transfers Roy from Pop n Shots in Youngsville does transfers for $15. Great guy and a pretty flexible schedule if your work schedule doesn’t line up with typical gun shop hours. He also can get any new gun at as good or better than other shops around. If your looking for something new give him a call.

Again welcome and if you have any questions speak up. Happy to answer them!

@Lawmaker

Fellow WF guy here... let me know if there’s anything I can do to help, if you have any questions about the area, etc.

Not sure if it's appropriate for the thread but check out The Border for your breakfast needs, Tropical Picken Chicken for your assorted Hispanic foods (so good!) and Lumpies for all ice cream requirements. I don't miss the overcrowding, traffic and endless NYC transplants, but there's some great food in Wake Forest.

Tell Patriot Shooting Sports in Youngsville hi for me, I used to work there.

Welcome to the forum, and NCLB is right about Tropical Picken Chicken. They closed down for a few months over the COVID in order to remodel, but I think they just reopened. The same guy also owns Casa Cubana, a restaurant and rum bar which is excellent. I also can confirm that the guys at Patriot Shooting Sports are good folks. And for firearm transfers for online purchases and such, Roy at PopNShots cannot be beat. He's a great guy and offers great transfer pricing.
