Movies you cant turn off

Battleship
Star Wars (original 3)
Indiana Jones
Most any of the war movies
Jurassic Park
Bourne series
Twister
Expendables
Shawn of the dead
Snatch (In my top 5 favorite movies)

I usually don't like watching movies numerous times but I'll watch these over and over

I must be reincarnated from celluloid. I really like the old classic B&W movies.
Yes, everyone makes fun of me for it.

Two absolute fav's-
Bride of Frankenstein
Sunset Boulevard

I also gravitate to many of the old silent movies-
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Phantom of the Opera

Most any of the Charlie Chaplin movies, but especially-
City Lights
The Kid

Watching silent movies makes you realize that most dialogue in modern movies is completely unnecessary.

Das Boot

Forgot about this one. Absolutely amazing movie - especially in the original German. The author based it on his actual wartime experience as a German navel war correspondent. Nothing catches that dicotomy of absolute boredom and absolute terror that these sailors experienced.

How is Godfather not on here already? The first one is arguably the best movie ever made, the second one was really good, and the third one--well it sucked, but that's no reflection on the first two.

Forgot to mention these in my previous post to this thread...

Not a huge sports fan, but I never get tired of watching Hoosiers or Miracle.

Several of the ones already mentioned and.....Smokey and the Bandit (original. Not parts 2 or 3). I have watched it too many times to count.

Haven't seen it in a decade or more, but am surprised that the original ghostbusters didn't make anyone's list.

Gladiator made several poster's lists...flipped through tonight and found it. Been watching for the last 30 min, with another 1.5 hours today.

No idea how many times I've watched this movie.

I was very close to being an extra in Hoosiers, but a cute girl had asked me to meet her at a party so I didn't go to the set. One of my lawyers was an extra in Breaking Away.

Death Hunt with Charles Bronson & Lee Marvin.

I like the .30-40 Krags, .303 Enfields, 1898 Savages and big Colt New Service revolvers in that movie.

The Iron Cross
The Wild Bunch
The Wild Geese
Go Tell The Spartans
Where Eagles Dare
From Here to Eternity (as close to a romance as I will watch)
Never So Few (Sinatra and McQueen, you cannot go wrong)
Oceans 11 (the original)

Newer movies:
13 Hours
the last 20 minutes or so of Proof of Life

The Outlaw Jose Wales
Unforgiven

Those two (other than everyone spaghetti western he did) are fantastic movies. I've had The Good The Bad and The Ugly ringtone about 15 yrs now.

Inside Man
Pappion
Platoon (ever watched it with directors commentary...wow)
The Man From Snowy River
Dreamcatcher

Just to add a few and not be redundant because most of my favorites have already been mentioned, but The Wild Bunch is fantastic.

If I had to pick one movie to rule them all...I'd have Jeremiah Johnson fight Jose Wales for the title of "Best Damn Movie Ever"
