Ok, have my granddad's JD L110 mower.
Was mowing today and, like usual, found a basketball of the neighbors in the yard. What I typically do is use the deck to bump it out of the way. Today, after several times, I cut it too close and it came up and hit the shell that covers the engine/front of mower.
It knocked the cover up and out of one of it's mounting slots (it just slides in), but it was still running.
I turn it off, look over everything, everything looks ok, slid the one mounting point back in, and then...NOTHING.
Wont crank.
It's getting power, cause the lights will come on, but the starter is doing nothing now.
I dont see anything that looks out of line (no broken wires, the one 20A fuse I see is ok etc), but it wont fire.

Suggestions?

Electrical issues are tough..
Start at the battery and check every connection .
Then with a meter , start checking where you have power and where it should go.

I know, I’m not much help.

Ok, thanks @Mirac for the post, I'll call my dad over and have him help with that cause I know next-to-nothing about electrical stuff

Hmm, did you disengage the PTO (blades) when you turned it off or were you in a bit of a hurry to deal with the cover?
Just thinking maybe you changed the normal shut down procedure and are forgetting something easy.

If the mower is electric PTO, ( a switch turns on the blades ), Make sure you turned the PTO switch off.

If it has a lever, make sure the blade lever is disengaged.

^Oneofsix just beat me to it.

Yall are good. That's what it was.
Just went out and saw that PTO was engaged.
Flipped the level, went to crank her and she started to fire (choke wasnt on, so it wasnt going to fully start)

Thank yall!
