MP5 Hammer broke in half

Is this something the happens to MP5 hammers? The gun (PTR clone) has about 750 rounds through it, about 100 suppressed. Should I get 2, to keep one as a spare? While I'm thinking about it, what is a good spare parts kit to have on hand?

Cast hammer?
I think PTR starting casting their own G3 trigger parts when they ran out of surplus stuff to stick in their rifles. The last one I had looked cast, noticeably different from surplus ones I have seen. I assume they cast their MP5 stuff too.

In my search for a replacement, it seem they run about $25. I sent an email to PTR, I will see what they say, maybe they will send me a replacement.

It’s good you messaged PTR. I had an interesting blemish develop around the rollers on my bolt-head, not that I had any function issues. Anyway! I emailed PTR and they had me send it in and they sent it back with a new bolt head. This was on my 9kt

I‘ve shot well over 100K rounds through my MP5 and am still on the original, factory HK (German) hammer.

I received a reply from PTR, they are sending a label for me to send the trigger pack back to them.

I received my trigger pack, back yesterday, they replaced the hammer. Going to the range Sunday to test it out. On a side note, I hate UPS. They normally leave everything and anything at the door, be damned with signature required. But, this time they would not leave it at the door, had to go to the UPS service center to pick it up.
