I went to Eagle guns in Concord today to hear Mark Robinson speak while he campaigns around the state for LT Governor.

For those who don’t know who he is, you’ve likely seen this video from early 2018 which went viral.

Mark seems pretty solid and would be a refreshing face to send to Raleigh. NC native, pro 2A, pro LE, pro Vets, anti-common core, pro voter ID.

The cooler part for me was realizing Larry Pittman was standing next to me. I thanked him for his never-wavering 2A support and we spoke for a minute.

When Mark’s speech went viral, I posted here that I hope he runs for state house or something... LT Gov will do!

Thanks for posting. Just donated to his campaign. Not something i would usually do... but we need more people like him
I’m right there with you. It takes A LOT for me to donate my money to anyone, not to mention a political candidate.

so.. is tony simon no longer "the biggest pound for pound firearms trainer" or is this guy just an activist/politician?

Haha he is definitely a big boy, but he’s not a firearms instructor. In fact, if you read up about him in some articles published shortly after his viral Greensboro city council speech, he wasn’t a gun owner until 2018. He made the comment that he had planned to shop for a gun at the Greensboro gun show which was the subject of that meeting.
I would say he’s an average hard working American who got launched into 2A stardom and is now taking advantage of it to by spreading his beliefs in an effort to better the state.

He seems to be a dream come true for the single issue voter, but how is he on the whole?

And this isn't meant to be combative. All I know about him I got from this forum. Also, I couldn't vote for him if I wanted to.

I didn't know he was going to be at Eagle Guns on Saturday. Just by chance, I was going in as he was standing outside talking to someone. I recognized him immediately from the video.

Assuming there isn't a better libertarian candidate on the ballot, I'll vote for Mark.
