My first gun purchase in almost 18 months and it's.... a wheelgun.

Sorta.

My new walking-around-the-yard-in-case-of-snakes gun. Patterns pretty well at 4 feet with the CCI snake load, and is surprisingly accurate at 5 yards with CCI quiet rounds. Good enough for it's intended role. Thought about the 22 mag version but it's just a little larger and although it would pack more shot in I thought the noise level would be excessive.

I really like how it's designed to be carried just like that. Hammer can be locked into a notch between rounds to prevent any sort of drop fire, it's SAO so even if the covered trigger somehow gets exposed it's not going to fire accidentally.

@Sneakymedic tried to talk me out of it, and it worked for about 3 days and then I gave in to temptation.

I was betting on either glue gun or nail gun.

Wasn't your purchase before this one of those derringer like guns?

Well, it is a step up or so from chewing a chicken nugget into the shape of a gun..

Great little guns. I got them to send me a second blanking plate and did away with the belt clip myself.

Hopefully the trigger works on this one, unlike that other crazy little gun you have!

You just have to push the trigger down to make it fire. You're too used to those fancy guns where the trigger moves back.

I think there's a law against this if you live in one of the free Southern States.
18 months?
Dadgum. I can't go 18 seconds without thinking about buying another gun.
If I was ATF Director I'd be coming to your house to ask why it's been so long since your last firearm purchase.

we all know you're just hanging out waiting for me to die in some horrible accident so that you can swoop in and comfort the grieving widow.
I can't keep the farm up like she wants it. I'd last two days.. " see.... At Hilltop Farm we do it this way...." that would be it.

Little more range time with it today. At 7 yards I got a keyholed round using some cheap federal HV stuff. CCI Quiets shot very well as before, if extremely low at 7 yards. 5 shot group was under 3" or so. Could be trigger issues because its so different from a normal pistol, and if so it will sort itself out as I practice.

The noise differential between the quiets and the high velocity stuff is very pronounced even with ear pro on. Not going with the 22 mag is sounding better all the time. Ha, see what I did there.

That's a great pistol for pocket carry.I got the non folder one with both cylinders. The wife carries it anytime she is outside in the yard/garden/woods/etc. She won't give it up.My work pants have the extra narrow tool pockets low down on the leg. Mine fits perfect.
You are right about the noise from the 22 mag. LOUD.

I wanna try this little guy Jayne!!
