Hello,
I was rearranging some "stuff", in my big metal box and found this in the corner way in the back. This was my first rifle and was given to me by my Dad. As a kid I was always given .22 shorts to run in it. It wasn't until much later when I researched this funny looking rifle that I found that it is a 22 LR... Though I have never actually fed it a long. Other than the serial there is NO information anywhere on this rifle.
It's a Firearms International Bronco and sold for under $10,00 in 1967.
The forward trigger cocks and unlocks the pivoting breach. I always had to wear long sleeves, as the breach doesn't seal that well and would spray a small but noticeable amount (to an 8 year old) of burning powder during ignition. Fun Times!!!
Just thought I'd share a few pics, and a cool article I found from 2022.

The Bronco .22 LR Survival Rifle
These nifty little rifles were first built in Accokeek, Md., in 1967. Those early examples bore neither markings nor serial numbers and sported an MSRP of $9.95
