Natural Gas Explosions In Massachusetts

Interesting. So far about 20 homes have been reported to have been destroyed in a bunch of different communities.

I hope no one got hurt or killed.

Lots of mentions that they robocalled people telling them to shut off their gas, and many people posted on social media that they didn’t know how.

What does that mean? Pressure in the lines was allowed to go too high and lots of weak points started letting go?

Isn’t there a gas regulator at each point of entry into a house? Obviously, I am no natural gas expert.

You would think the gas companies would send out a picture of the gas meter with an arrow pointing to the shut-off valve.

Preliminary numbers estimate that between 60 to 100 homes in the Merrimack Valley caught fire in the towns of Lawrence, Andover and North Andover, Methuen Police Chief Joseph Soloman said.

This mess is crazy! We know where our shut-off valve is and how to turn it off but, unless we know there may be an issue, we can't react.

There is something not quite right here.

It is Lawrence. It could use a slash and burn treatment. Over 60% of the residents are on welfare. They only vote for corrupt socialists for mayor and city council.
High illegal alien welfare dependent population too. The schools suck. Many parents illegally try to send their kids to the neighboring towns.

With FISA being declassified one has to at least wonder if there is at least one house there that needed Hillary’d. Or I’m just the forum whacka doo paranoid

Not beyond the realm of possibility.
It could also be part of "union negotiation."
All violent acts in furtherance of union goals is protected by a Carter era SCOTUS ruling.

Not always. A lot of older low pressure systems do not have regulators at the house. There is a lot of that type of system up north.

I would bet money that is what they have where this happened.

My guess is, Someone screwed up and put high pressure gas on a low pressure system.

Don't count on it having been been a mere "mistake." Corrupt unions control the gas company employees.

Word is the union is locked out, so inquiring minds want to know could it have been an incompetent replacement worker or card carrying sabotage???
Not sabotage. Union collective bargaining tactics.
[Those replacement refs during NFL ref strike wanted to make the big show too so they had to help negotiations by blowing high visibility calls]
