But for Holt’s appearance, the North Korean government appears to have brought in skiers — wearing identical outfits — and staged the scene, something Holt did not appear to realize.

They shouldn't have aired it, but I understand why they filmed it. Apparently they were told they would be going to the dmz before going then were rerouted at customs. They were then told they had to go to the ski resort. Once there i guess they were kind of stuck. That said they shouldn't have put that crap on the air.
