NC 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Counties - map/updates

This is what was on their agenda page for Bertie. I have no idea what was in question, just posting what was on their agenda page. Hope this helps.

I highlighted the two sections in question(according to the paper). The article said the county attny said they could not do that. Why I don't know. Sounds pretty much like what the other counties are doing.

The first section says any means available under the Constitution and the laws of North Carolina so what could be wrong with that?

Chowan has it on their agenda for 2/17 10. Resolution in Support of Rights Afforded by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution Commissioner Cummings has requested the Board consider a revised resolution in Support of Rights Afforded by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution.

Montgomery County Second Amendment Support Resolution 2/18

Moore County 2/18 III. COMMISSIONERS –
Request for Adoption of a Resolution Declaring Support for the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution

This is great and all with helping prevent further infringement on the 2A but......

Pretty sure I'll still get hemmed up for carrying concealed without the states approval in all those green counties, among other things.

Anybody else feel it's kind of a joke or half hearted?

Brunswick supposedly passed theirs tonight...unanimous vote.

Was posted on ARF.

Time for everybody to send an updated map to Meck!! :D

Anyone hear anything about Granville county? I know there was a petition which I signed, and thought it was to be presented on the 17th, but did a search and can't find any reference to it or minutes of the meeting.

I find it interesting that some Brunswick County NAACP people objected to the resolution that was supportive of the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms since some of the early gun control laws were specifically designed to keep arms out of the hands of that portion of the population.

Because they're told a different lie today than they were back then...

I would be very surprised if the Granville Co commissioners voted to be a 2A sanctuary since they are very opposed to the existence of a gun club that has been there since the 80's.

^My information, which I will not call "official" as I can't find anything in print, but comes from a very reliable source in county government, is that Granville, and here is my caveta since I couldn't understand completely, passed a 2A resolution Monday or has a good working model that will pass. Film at 11.

On the above map there are 33 counties that are not green, there are 9 that I'm pretty sure will not vote for 2A, so what are the others waiting for? 91 out of 100 would not be bad. Not a betting guy but it would be a cold day in hell before the lefties in RTP, Guilford, Mech and the Buncombe anties would left 2A pass there.

Good question. Maybe waiting on someone to get off their behind and start the movement in that country. I was a part of starting the one in Burke. If anyone knows anyone in these counties, tell them to start a Facebook (yuck...I know) page, and go from there.
