So this doesn’t technically fall into the ok coral and ill pose it here.

A good friend and me are interested in stepping into the world of Flintlocks. Does anyone know of a group, club, etc that gets together to shoot, discuss these? Would be really cool to get together and discuss the topic and be educated! Thanks all!

It's a bit of a hike for you, but the French Broad Longrifles club has monthly get togethers. I grew up doing all of the muzzle loader stuff - reenactments, rendevous, etc. But haven't been involved for years.

Thank you! When you say hike, where are they based out of? Quickly looked at the site!

The French Broad guys are a good bunch. I used to rendezvous with a bunch of em.

There is a rendezvous coming up next month in Yadkin County. Check the NMLRA site for info and directions.

If you'd like to try some other forms of muzzleloading, check out the North South Skirmish Association. We compete with Civil War era arms including artillery. Yup, we shoot live black powder artillery for score.
