The NCGCA show is at the Statesville, NC Civic Center this weekend (6/12-6/13). The club hasn’t had a show since 2019. Around 150 tables with very little non-gun related stuff. There are usually a lot of private sellers, as lots of club members usually have tables. There are usually some interesting displays, too.

We will be there. Anyone else going?

Seems like parking might be complicated at this location?

Not really. Two parking lots on site with ample parking across Front Street if overflow is needed.

Do you know what the entry fee is for the show?

I'll be going, I like this show because of the private sellers. I can buy anything new through my local dealer, so I go to shows looking for older stuff and have always found good stuff at this show.

Didnt know the NCGCA existed. How do I join? I went to a gun show in Statesville a long time ago that was in a renovated bldg downtown like a train depot station or something. It was a very nice facility and there was some cool stuff there including a miniature M1919 that fired 22LR from a cloth belt. Dont know if it was Class 3 or not. Doubt I can make it unless my plans get changed. It's 85 year old mother and 85 yr old MIL visit weekend but I would be 90 mins closer. If I didnt have anything to do this Sat I'd be there for sure. Spent a lotta years growing up in Iredell County. Always like going back and seeing whats changed and what hasnt.

If you haven't been to Statesville in awhile be very careful on 77 and 40 coming into town. The construction is bad and they've made a real mess of things. Traffic should be fine but just be aware of the sorry state of things.

Rocks / debris
Uneven lanes
Random lane shifts
Orange barrels / barriers
Very short ramps / merging opportunities

Even the exits may be laid out differently than you remember. 40 to 21 / Sullivan road comes to mind. Just be prepared!

From what I saw today....

Several tables of private sellers, mostly with older/collectible guns

Four FFL dealers that I know of (including myself). Only one dealer with a bunch of new guns along with a number of older guns

No big, professional ammo dealer, though several tables have SOME ammo

Couple of neat display tables. One featuring the guns of Alvin York. Another featuring a number of Mosin 91/30 variants, including a few really rare ones

Saw a few Lugers

Some nice shotguns, Colts, and S&W revolvers

Still several tables where folks hadn't set up by the time I left. Show is sold out, so I don't anticipate any empty tables.

Funny thing happened on the way to the show today...
My preferred lgs is about halfway between me and the show. I stopped by to b.s. a minute and get a second opinion on the value of a rifle I wanted to sell at the show.
They confirmed my value for me....and one of the old men sittin in the corner jawin looked up and said "I'll give ya that price right now and save you the gas money."
I never made it to the show lol

Seriously…

You were really just afraid I’d steal that pedestrian class pocket knife. 🤪

Any pictures? ill have to go tomorrow... today ended up being a bust.

Best show I have been too in awhile. Everything was gun related and no junk like sunglasses, jerky, jewlery, etc. Several private guys there with lots of parts today and I spent way too much money today. Ended the trip with a stop at Randy's BBQ in Troutman. The Mosin display was neat.

It was/is a good show. The crowd was thin when we were there.

Lots of great stuff to drool over

Especially the machine gun display. Russian, German and US

As an FYI there is a Randy’s BBQ location no more than a block from the Statesville Civic center.

Thanks for letting me know. Troutman is on the way home for us and took the quick trip down Hwy 21 and afterwards got back on the Interstate at exit 42.

My first visit in many years and really enjoyed seeing some faces I’ve not seen in a while. Everyone single person I spoke with today was pleasant and helpful. Lots of nice stuff to look at and ponder on. Tempted several times by a couple of Randall’s, a PPC gun, and an engraved low wall.
signed up for life membership so maybe next time.

The posts above are what I remember and liked about the NCGC shows... did not attend this one and regret it but that's that.
