Remind me again what the laws are in NC in regards to carrying and political rallies? My wife considers attending one in downtown Raleigh but is somewhat concerned about her safety.
 
if you are carrying a weapon and observe a demonstratioon happening in a public place, it is illegal.
 
If she is at all concerned for her safety she should not attend. End of story.

Not in Fayetteville...this photo is from the demonstration that Chief Hawkins led down Cliffdale Road and had a good number of FPD participants, along with armed protestors (Huey P Newton Gun Club...armed faction of the Black Panthers). This photo is great because it captured an FPD officer in the background.

That seems to still be the way I remembered. I always wondered why anybody would think funerals would be an issue?
Gang retaliation? I know this was a problem in Illinois. Same reason for hospital ban.
