NC Olympic Marksman, '...no reason for assault rifles to be in the hands of ordinary citizens'

He has his right to his views. I believe it's Goofy! You just can't fix stupid. I wonder, I really wonder about such people.

I've been around the world several times and in this combat veterans opinion the only guns protected by the constitution are full military grade weapons. There's a petition that over 1100+ Green Berets signed and sent to Obummer couple years ago weighing in on gun control. He should also be reminded that the Olympics were military events and they should be competing with military rifles and ammunition and not .22LR.

I've been around the world several times and in this combat veterans opinion the only guns protected by the constitution are full military grade weapons.

Back around 1950 or so wasn't there a case where a sawed off shotgun (SBS) was ruled not covered by the 2nd as it wasn't used by the military?

So, why do the courts say the AR, which is the civilian version of a military weapon, can be banned?
Because activist judges want to say it can. It seems as though more and more this is the case of judges declaring whatever is in line eith their personal or political views rather than clear legal principles and standing. This is happening on a lot of issues, not just with regard to guns. Look at illegal immigration for example.

“We’re a sport that uses a .22-caliber rifle,” Bailey said. “A .22-caliber rifle that shoots a single round is a much different thing than an AR-15.

I was unaware that his game used single shot rifles. I thought they were repeaters. I also was unaware that an AR 15 fired multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger. The things you can learn from people who play games.

"In my opinion, there’s just no reason for assault rifles to be in the hands of ordinary citizens.” I'm sure King George said the same thing about muskets in 1776.
