Looking a good spotting scope for $350 or less, if that is possible. I have a cheap one from Wally World, but it is only good to about 250 yards (at least with my eyes). What do you use or suggest. Thanks!

What magnification is it?

Yeah I've sorta been looking at that one. I have a couple of telescopes as I'm somewhat into astronomy a bit. Both are much to big and heavy for target shooting use. I actually gave my Wally World special another try (Firefield 20-60x60, the one I was rather dissappointed in, and it looked pretty good. Maybe my lens was a bit fogged over before. I'm still gonna try to do a bit better though)

Yeah, I kind of like the looks of that one, and I'm a bit familiar with Celestron.

The one I have now is a Firefield (cheap) 20-60x60--I tried it this morning when I went shooting and it looked pretty darn good. Maybe my lens was fogged over B4. I still want to upgrade.
I have the 20-60x80 Athlon (and two pair of binos) from CameraLandNY.

I know enough about astronomical telescopes to know the light gathering ability (aperture or diameter of the tube) makes a big difference in the image you can get. I think one the size you have (20-60X80 or even 85) would be about perfect.
I really appreciate all of the responses you folks have given. It is really helping me It is so nice to have access to so many helpful people. I think I'm gonna pick one in the 80 to 85 aperture range. Then all I gotta do is come up with some MONEY.

Sometimes I've used my Celestron C90 telescope as a spotting scope. Works very well but I've never had it out beyond 100yds. You'd need to provide a substantial tripod and I don't know what eyepiece it comes with which determines the magnification.

View attachment 683334Yep, I'm looking at that as well. Comes with a 32mm eyepiece I think. Also might come in handy for a quick grab for some skywatching without using my heavier telescopes.

@Donnie D

I've got an old style stand like below with a spike I made from a SS bolt to push into the ground.
It's not too bad if the shooting position is not far.
