So for the second time in my time in this hobby my gunsmith retired/quit in the middle of a project. I am looking for someone (preferably local to NC) who can nickel, or hard chrome an old smith highway patrolman, re-assemble it and fit some custom stocks. I have a polished frame and half polished barrel and blued cylinder.
 
Smith will do it for you through there custom shop. I had them redo a couple of third gens for me and they looked like new. Less than a month to get them back and resonably priced.

They have done work for me in the past. Also of note they exclusively do all of the special finishes for magnum research. Let us see some before and after pics

A round butt Mode 28, nice. What barrel length? A 3 incher would be sweet.
I have a 1965 Colt SAA that shows honest wear and tear for it's age. I want to send it to Ford's soooo bad. But, I can't talk myself into it yet. But, I could send a worn Model 28. I can't wait to see yours when they are done with it.
