Looking to get my wife in to shooting 22 steel with me. Got her gun already (M&P 22 Compact). I'm planning to buy a Mako mount (uses the pistol's light rail) and an inexpensive red dot. She likes the smaller ones. I'd love to hear some recommendations in the $30 - $100 range.

Thanks,

GregB

I'll second the PA Microdot. I have an older one and just recently bought a new one because of how well my other one worked. Paid $115 or so for the Microdot, riser, and shipping.

to the OP I saw the videos on this..... so I took the bait.. WOW I have it on my M&P 15-22 and it did GREAT I would buy it over & over cant go wrong

I also have this one on a 15/22 and have had zero issues with it. Have $30 in it including the riser.

I have had fantastic results with Primary Arms red dots with their included quick mount system.

You're in the $100 range and they are very shock resistant, drop resistant and hold zero even with removal and reattach.

I have abused the hell out of all of mine and they still work great.

I have put them on a Calico, a Kriss Vector, a PTR and several AR's including a 22 variant.

I taught my son to shoot at 5 with a PA micro red dot on a 22 AR.

Add me to the PA RDS list as well. Had one for 2-3 years now. Nice little set-up with their QD Mount.

In case no one has mentioned it, give the primary Arms Micro Dots a look. Theyre fantastic sights for the money
