So I’m looking for the absolute bottom of the barrel pump action shotgun the cheapest thing thats still safe to shoot.

What's its role, defense, bird hunting?
I greatly prefer the rotating locking bolt, and the fit of a Benelli and Winchester. Stoeger and Franchi are copies of the Benelli design for less.

This will be a long ways off, one of my assignments for my gunsmithing corse is making 2 shotguns, for the first one I want to build a pump action but as its my first shotgun build I want to use a relatively affordable receiver as the base, I’ve heard that Hatfield shotguns are basically budget guns used for projects, I know better shotguns exist in that price range but I want to have peace of mind knowing “I literally have to try to make this gun worse but at the same time I have to put a lot of work in to make it better” . My second shotgun I’m going to make a rolling block shotgun using a higher quality receiver as a base. Is this the right move or should I just go with something like an old Stevens pump action for the first one?

Classic and PSA often have Turkish clones in the 100-150 range. I bought one and it works just fine.

PSA had this one yesterday…maybe they’ll have more? (Showing OOS now)

We had mine out today, had an issue one time racking the slide getting the empty out. After some googling we found to just rough it and slammed the butt down and out it came. Could it run slicker? Yes. Does it work. Yes it does. Also not really broken in yet after just about 75 rounds.

Fun as hell for about 200 bucks. And for bonus points you can get that stupid 19 round mag and piss off the anti's.
