I have two AR15s, my PWS Mk111 MOD 2 and my Daniel Defense DDM4V7 in dark brown. I love them both but a buddy of mine is offering me a brand new Sig MPX K newest generation for the daniel defense, bare bones. This would leave me with just one AR15. I dont know how I feel about that haha. I already have a Stribog SP9A3 and a MP5 Clone. Do I really need the MPX? I have always wanted one but would love some real input on this matter, or better yet, what would you do?

ARs, even nice ones, are dime a dozen and easily replaceable. MPX is somewhat less so and would be fun to play with for a while. You won't get hurt if/when you decide to move it on and replace with another AR.

that was my thoughts exactly. If anything, I have a fun plinker for a little while

Does the deal include your optics, BUIS and light or is it just the DD alone?

DD alone your getting good trade. If you include the other stuff I think it’s a little in his favor … dicker a little.

its just my plain stock daniel defense, no optic or light. BUIS will be included but his MPX K comes with BUIS as well.

It's a toss up for me. I'd lean towards keeping the DD, but that's because I've tried both the mpx and mcx, and they're...alright. They're good, solid guns, but they feel like any other decent AR. Your mileage may vary. If I was in your shoes, I'd keep what I have since it seems that you already took the time to properly set it up.

That said, you only really need one good AR as your "go-to." It seems like you enjoy pccs, so if you really like the sig, try it. It's really up to you to determine if the cool factor is worth it.

When it comes to ARs, your PWS is more "special" than your DD. Any good DI rifle will replace it. BCM, SOLGW, you name it. DD isn't special by any means. You can simply try the pcc and see if you like it.

I completely understand why you'd want more than one AR, but not all guns have to be 100 percent practical. I'd say the choice is even between. You can't go wrong no matter which gun you decide to keep.

thank you man. I ended up getting the MPX, unfortunately I am not familiar with the MPX platform and was duped. The guy told me it was an MPX K when it really was a MPX Copperhead K. No big deal just different threads on the barrel. Oh well. Lesson learned. I may be putting it out there soon!
