Every few years when I start having connectivity issues I typically replace the wifi router, and that usually resolves the issues. My Cisco router is maybe 3-4 years old (guessing). Every couple of days now our connected devices will get kicked off and we have to reconnect, or I often just reboot the router and modem. Sometimes I have to call Spectrum and they ping the modem through their automated system and that works/helps. I’m usually never sure exactly what the problem is or what fixed it.
Is there any easy protocol I can perform that would confirm or determine whether it is the router and not the modem, or connectivity to my neighborhood?
Thanks in advance.
