Only looking for the oil which comes in my wife’s new 2024 hybrid Toyota Corolla Cross. The oil is synthetic 0-
08w. Nothing lower than 0-20w on shelves, Amazon has 0-16w. Even the dealership is 0-16w. I will be doing the first oil change at 500 miles, second at 1500 miles. Dealership does first 4 changes but that is too long a interval for a brand new car.

0-8?? WOW
My rav is 0-16 and I thought that was thin as heck
Manual says 0-16w is fine but I want at least first 2 at oil from factory. I’ve always done 2 early oil changes in new vehicles.

Is Summit online?

Sorry not wives. One is enough.

Yikes. I thought motor start ups were noisy and hard on my wifes 2011 venza thats 0 20w. I do use royal purple.

Its expensive. As is everything else in life. Toyota factory oil is rebranded mobil1 and usually has a high burn rate in my 2.7 4cyl so i stayed away.

0-16 is the lowest viscosity I have seen. Just my opinion....... You really only need 1 break in oil change, somewhere around 1000 miles. Then at 5k and every 5k from then on. For the first 500 miles keep the RPMS moving and then somewhere after 500 miles and the first oil change, drive it like you stole it one good time, work the engine hard and let it get good and hot one time.
