Recommendations for a gunsmith to thread two barrels to 1/2 x 28? One 9mm the other 357sig. They are both off the gun so it should be possible to ship without hassle if necessary, but I would prefer someone local to the Triangle or Triad.

Seems to me I remember seeing a video of some DIY barrel threading tool that worked from inserting it in the muzzle, no lathe, etc. required. Does anyone have any experience with those? Thanks.

I've sent a removed buckmark barrel to Rob at Clayton Guns (Clayton, NC right at the 70bypass/70bus split west of I-95). Shipped there, threaded, and shipped back.

I've done a Saiga barrel and a SAR1 with the threading jig with bore guide. It's not hard, just lube well and take it slowly.

Yeah the place I saw that sells them seems to have a lot of AK/Saiga stuff. Did you get yours from Carolina Shooters Supply? Would you consider the results suitable for suppressor use?
