Neil Diamond Retires

I was never a fan but that sucks.

Sad news. I hope he takes some time to have fun.

Best concert I’ve ever seen. He gave a show well worth the price of admission. One of my favorite singers of all times. Sorry to hear this.

He is a perv....who else would write a sweet Caroline song, she was a kid for goodness sake.

I very rarely listen to his stuff when it comes on the radio. I'll skip to another station.

BUT....I have seen him in concert several times. The guy puts on one of the best shows you'll ever see. Just good old fun.

Yea, that sucks. My very first Diamond album was "Stones" back in 1971. I do believe I have all his albums to date and it is a heck of a lot. Also his Christmas albums from the Jewish guy! Got to see him in concert at the Scope in Norfolk, Va in the round. Great, Great concert.

Should add paid about $25 per ticket at the time. Was going to see him a couple of years ago and tickets were $125 for same seats

Correction: Hampton Coliseum , Hampton, Va (wife informed me. she was right)

Sorry to hear of his diagnosis. I wasn't a big fan earlier, but came to like his songs eventually. He was a pop music icon for a long time.

Even got some TV time! He appeared in an episode of Mannix @ 1970, even had a speaking part. That's him in the background.

Wow, didn't know he was still touring. A friend of mine claims to have been asked to teach him guitar way, way back when in NYC. He said they met on some front steps of a building and my friend decided not to because the guy had no talent.
Neil Diamond went on to become Neil Diamond and my friend plays club gigs works at Hyatt's.
