New 22 ready for the range.

Got a new 22 bang bang ready to head to the range to get zeroed. Originally wanted a 457 varmit mtr but they are extremely hard to find and above retail price if you do find one. Second choice was a Savage Mark II BTVS but theyre hard to find also.....and then this Ruger appeared on PSA for $80 more than the black version that I found instock everywhere. Scope is a Swampfox 5-30x56 I took off a different gun for now but might change it eventually.

Exciting part is actually trying different ammo without breaking the bank.

I've had good luck with the SK Rifle Match ammo. Good performance and it won't break the bank. Of course, you can always shoot Lapua CenterX and eat Ramen noodles for life instead. 😁

Once you get the dialed in, there's a new rimfire challenge just waiting for you to swoop in and put us all to shame!

Re. the Savages, did you give the B22 a look? They've been out for a while and are essentially a MKII with improved magazines and stock. Just wondering because no one here ever speaks of them, they go on buying the MKII and replacing the stock, lol.

Yes it's a RPRR Just got some more mags (10rd) in today. I did check out the B22 but read a few negative issues with it for some people, think it was about the action. I did manage to have one in my hands at the local Cabelas and didn't find anything wrong with it. I also have SAVAGE B.MAG TARGET THUMBHOLE 17wsm that's fun but Im a little afraid of shooting all my ammo up and not being able to replace it since I haven't seen any in a while.

Got some SK Rifle Match on the way, but have some Eley stuff layin around to run through and break everything in while I wait.
Im gonna embarras myself, but I'll give those bells a shot in the next couple of weeks when I get comfy with the setup
