Took a flyer at a Ruger GP100 on GB, and won it outright. Aside from always wanting a .357 lever gun, I don't have any experience in the caliber. I shoot 45 ACP today, and have a Smith 625 which I like a lot. I ordered a Wolff spring kit from gunsprings.com. I was wondering if this would be a good choice for breaking in the Ruger...

Yes that would be fine.
It will be good practice and range ammo as well,
Since it’s cheaper than 357.

But get some 357 and practice with it as well, since the recoil and flip will be different

Georgia Arms has a wide assortment of their .357 Magnum ammo. For all around use I like their 158Gr. plated SWC rated at 1,100 FPS. This round has more "snap" than any 38 special +P or +P+ ammo, but is not as brutal to shoot as full tilt ,357 Magnum ammo.

Has Billy had you to shoot some of his Magnum loads?

.357 only gets painful for me running full-house magnums through something like one of those flyweight S&Ws. In something like a 6" GP-100 or 6.5" Blackhawk, it's a pussycat.

Thanks but NO thanks..
If it makes you feel any better, there was a group which while not in a mission was expected to shoot 100 rounds of full house 357 as part of their daily practice.
Only during work days though.

Dalek, that's a bunch of ammo, downrange, no matter the caliber. That group, as a whole, must be a lot tougher than I am or ever was.
