New Death wish Trailer

In that trailer, in one scene he uses an AR with a foam covered pistol buffer tube. But it seems to be full-auto. So illegal machine gun, but he observes the law re: SBR, and he also doesn't shoulder it.

You know AR pistols have become very popular when they start showing up in movies.

Could it be a properly registered full auto receiver? No barrel or stock limits on what you hang off of it, as I recall anyway.

Saw this trailer in the theater tonight, wife leaned over and whispered “I see Hollywood is really getting serious about their stand on gun violence.” Of course I kissed her.

Not likely, at least given how I understand the plot. Seems he buys his first firearm after his wife is murdered. Even if he submits paperwork for a full-auto receiver at the same time that he buys his first firearm (which would be HIGHLY unusual), he'd still have to wait ~9-12 months before using it as part of his vigilante tour. Also, if you've got the funds and patience for a full-auto lower that you intend to slap a short upper on, why wouldn't you SBR it?

Maybe I'm wrong; maybe they'll show him surfing a gun forum, asking questions about the Form 4 process, about dotting the i's and crossing the t's on the application, and subscribing to a thread where people post their wait times. :D

If it's a registered MG, it can be configured however you want. The MG stamp negates the need for an SBR stamp.

Now, if you're asking "why wouldn't you put a stock on it"...that's a different question. But there's no need to file an additional F4 to SBR a machinegun.

I saw the trailer for this a few months back. I forgot it was coming out again. Whats the date?

Depends on the source. Somewhere between now and March. :D

It is supposedly happening in Chicago, one of the most restrictive firearm cities in the world. In other words, with a fist full of cash and a dark alley you could probably pick up a howitzer if you wanted one. :D

Well IL passed shall-issue concealed carry a few years ago, over the objections of Chiraq. So he could be legally concealed carrying a handgun.

Not sure where they stand on AR's, though I do believe Cook "Crook" County has an AWB. I know they have a mag capacity limit, so 30rd mags will be illegal.
