New guy from (yuck) Illinois

No shame in being FROM anywhere. Just last summer moved out and sold my house 1mi outside the detroit city limit, and i'm finishing out a term of remotely warming a seat on the board of a MI gun nonprofit, MGO. I fought my old university that had backing of the state prosecutor over an issue of guns on campus - I may be the only person in history to get smacked by his own lawyer, in court, with the warning "shut up, you're winning".
And I was JUST talking with my cousin about how angry we are that we missed the cheap deals on the mini14 a few years ago.
 
Make sure you register all your guns with the local Sheriff and destroy all hi-cap magazines and turn in your assault weapons.

HAHAHAHAHA.

I just signed up yesterday for GRNC. I'm heading off on Saturday to attend the membership meeting at CRPC.
I'm married. I have a dog. No kids. I'm into all types of guns and as I tell my wife I just need one more before I'm done buying them. For some inexplicable reason I want a Mini 14. Yes, I grew up watching the A Team never shoot anybody.

Here I thought the debate was about Vinegar, or Mustard BBQ and Beef or Pork .

1. what's on sale? I'm not really into Mayo so I haven't tried either one. Paying full retail is for suckers.
2. both, mixed (diet restricted, so my doc would say un-sweet)
3. diet restricted, neither


I can say that what I've been taught to call BBQ sauce is basically sweet ketchup. I prefer the vinegar sauce now.

This is a far better argument that the nonsense I left behind.

1. Cubs or Sox?
2. Gino's or Malnotti's (pizza)
3. ketchup or no ketchup on a hot dog

And fist fights would break out if you answered wrong. Savages.
 
The real question is: Have you burned your FOID card yet?

Oh and gotten the PPP that NC requires for pistols :rolleyes: aka the Jim Crow Carry Permit

The FOID and CCL need to get sent back to the Il State Police once I register my cars and get my driver's license here. Until then, those cards still allow CCW here. Once I change my residence I get to play hermit in the house while I wait (months?) for the Meck sheriff to give my application the time of day. I'm going to feel naked until the new card comes, and I haven't yet applied or taken the class.

I'd make sure I soiled them really nicely when mailing them back - perhaps with my dog's droppings.

I was thinking about dropping them in a soiled toilet and snapping a picture of their last disposition I could include with the cards in the mail.

You may have covered it in the OP but what was the reasoning behind moving to CLT, because this state and city is going purple faster than a chicken in an Zimbabwe village

Just remember open carry is legal. :D

And get that class out of the way ASAP, regardless of official residence.
 
Get your pistol purchase permits before applying for the concealed carry permit. This way you can purchase while waiting on carry permit.

I lived in western Dupage County. It used to be a solid red kind of place, but the locusts from Chicago multiplied and spread out. I was outnumbered and my vote didn't matter.

Want to hear a good one? My property taxes used to be 10, 700 for a 4 bed, 2.5 bath 2100 sf house on a 1/3rd acre. That state is so freaking broken that it's going to make Detroit look like a model of prudence.

I hate I missed this. I was from Glen Ellyn in the center of Dupage County. Left to go into college, then the Army, and never went back.

Lived on Kenilworth as a kid. Then West Chicago as an adult.
