What ended up being the deciding factor in changing your concealed carry gun from the 82, if I may ask?
9mm is slightly larger than 9x18.
It's cheaper to shoot, and 9mm Mak is kind of a dead cartridge. Not a lot of defensive loads (back then anyway, might have changed now), and not something readily available in a brick and mortar store (also might have changed).
Hard to find holsters for it.
At the time there was also a magazine drought and the factory '82 mags were about $40 a pop.
Super comfy to carry though, and very small and ergonomic in the hand. Only actual complaint with the pistol it's self was the manual safety. I prefer a decocker.
