I "see" a problem with this press. You can't "see" what you are doing because they took the offset out of the front strength member of the press. I load sitting down and am acutely aware of ergonomic issues due to my age and arthritis. Craning your head and neck around to put a case in the case holder or to set a bullet on top of the case is not ergonomic. Maybe there will be a Rebel MkII that fixes this issue.

Good point. However, I think you could mount the press at a slight angle on the bench, and then install the arm in the left side (as for a left-handed user) and work around the problem that way.

Im in the middle of a reloading session now and I'm trying to imagine my Rockchucker with no offset. There is more than one reason that it is there. I think they stepped on their pee pee. I like everything else they did except maybe the primer chute location. Still problematic and his were hitting the floor even with a cup.

I actually had to go to the basement to look. I have an Old Junior and it has the offset which I put a primer tool in for (on press priming). But I can still see the cases I'm working on. and I really think the primer chute is a bad idea... The will get stuck sooner or later. Ya I know a RCBs Junior is Old school, but I have had it since the late 70's and its still ticking and kicking.

I picked the Lee Classic Turret because of the through-ram primer chute. No problems jamming. The press stays much cleaner with all the primer residue falling straight through instead of out of the side. I do a LOT of decapping on the LCT - I’ve probably done 50k or more, so it makes a big difference to me.

I had to tear down my 5+ yr old Rocky the other day. Ram had gotten really rough going up and down. Cleaned out primer chute with Q tips for 15mins. Oiled the ram which I had taken out and was a PITA to go back in. Works better than new now.

In the video, he said that 90-95% of the users primed off-press, so that is why they did away with on-press priming. I find it interesting that they used this as the reason to do away with priming on the press. They could have taken that to mean that they needed to improve the priming system on the Rock Chucker.

Any idea how many cases have you decapped on that press?

Like I said, I have probably decapped 50k on my LCT. I have only taken it apart twice to clean and lube in that time. I didn't really need to take it apart, to be honest.
